Gabriella Charter School (GCS) is committed to providing an innovative standards−based
academic program that builds on a child's natural curiosity and promotes joy in both the
learning process and in the mastery of skills. Serving economically disadvantaged
elementary−age
children in the Pico−Union, Rampart and Koreatown communities of Los Angeles,
GCS's
goal is to prepare students to become perceptive and critical readers, active listeners,
effective writers and speakers, keen observers and competent problem solvers. Through the
integration of art activities and daily dance instruction, GCS also seeks to develop discipline,
focus, mutual respect, work ethic, pride in performance and a true appreciation for visual and
performing arts.
