After School Programming

 

GCS offers an after-school program fully funded by the After School Education and Safey Program (ASES), designed and administered by Laura Fitzpatrick, Program Coordinator (lfitzpatrick@gabri.org).  Our after-school program offers both academic support and enrichment for grades one through eight from the end of school day until 6:00 p.m. for a nominal charge.  After-school program activities include:

  • Middle School Enrichment Clubs:
    • Film
    • Robotics
    • Photography
    • Sports
    • Jewelry Design
    • Arts and Crafts

 

GCS also provides non-ASES after-school programming, including the following clubs/activities:

  • everybody dance!, a program of The Gabriella Foundation, that offers high quality dance instruction for students ages 4-19 on the campus of Gabriella Charter School. Classes enroll in September. Download an application form here (contact: Carol Zee, Artistic Director, czee@gabri.org).
  • Intervention, which provides tutoring and assistance for students who have not mastered academic standards (contact: Clara Montz, Assistant Principal of Intervention and Assessment, cmontz@gabri.org).
  • Math Club, in which middle school students train to compete in the Math Counts competition each spring (contact: Moises Garcia, 8th Grade Algebra Teacher, mgarcia@gabri.org).
  • ISEE Test Preparation, which prepares middle school students who are interested in attending private high schools to take the rigorgous ISEE entrance exam (contact: Lindi Williams, Dean of Students, lwilliams@gabri.org).
